And So, It Begins...

"Freedom lies in being bold" - Robert Frost

That's cool and everything there Bobby, but I'm guessing you never had social anxiety.

Last June, I decided to vent a little on Facebook.  Who isn't guilty of that? In that small novel of a post, my mere passing admission that I read tarot and oracle cards was what brought me the most fear of all. Sure, a few people knew, but the overwhelming majority of my friends' list didn't...and what would they think? Was someone going to sneak a judgy comment in there, or make some insensitive joke? Would this change how they saw me? And was that a good or bad thing at the end of the day? Honestly, I didn't know then, and I don't know now.

What I do know is that I've gradually opened up a little more as time has gone by about my reading. I've joined several tarot groups and made friends with so many beautiful people from all walks of life. I've grown in my abilities and my aspirations. I've gained confidence and found calmness. So, here I am. Launching my tarot home base in the wild world of the internet! (with only minor stagefright)

I thought a lot about what to make my site/social media handle. I didn't want anything too overly mystical, confusing, or outlandish. That's not the right vibe. I take tarot from a pretty practical standpoint if I do say so myself. Straightforward and relatable, that's the type of feeling I wanted. Direct to the heart of things. Looking down, I caught sight of the tattoo on my wrist; an arrow with my daughter's handwriting that reads "fly straight, aim true." She was a competitive archer at the time I got it, but the motto runs deeper. Keeping your aim true to your own beliefs, flying straight ahead with the confidence you can achieve what you've set out to do. The satisfaction you get when you see you've hit that target smack-dab where you intended. THAT'S the emotion I wanted to capture.

With that, I welcome you to True Arrow Tarot.

I hope you'll stick around to see what appears after the dust settles. I've got some pretty dang exciting things coming up!  Feel free to look around and book a reading. Feel free to share my links with someone you think this might be interested. I'm looking forward to sharing more about the tarot and oracle with you all.
